In a powerful rite of passage at age 20, Albee realized he was interconnected with life in a profound and essential way – that he was not separate. Nothing he had received from his family or encountered thus far in his life gave him any real indication of this profound, pre-existing and all-encompassing connection. Yet this connection, this sense of Self, is actually our birthright as human beings.

Albee has done many things in his life – co-founded a holistic elementary school centered around Natural Learning Relationships, taught classes in child and human development, facilitated outdoor experiences and rites of passage for adults/families/children. He continues to parent two wonderful children and run a small IT business.

And he has loved and lost. Witnessing the dying and death of his wife was a profound and difficult experience – because of his inner work he was as prepared as he could be for the inevitability of it – while staying open to that inevitability and the tumultuous and often terrifying actuality that one could never prepare for.

So, in this moment Albee finds himself deeply interested in human development, the nature of consciousness and its exploration, transformation and transcendence, spiritual philosophy, and finding inner freedom and wholeness. Because this wholeness is also our birthright – every part of it sacred and an expression of Consciousness. We are here to engage and participate in it as fully as we can.

  • Director & Treasurer

Treasurer Tim Riley is a father of 5 children whom he homeschooled. As a Wholistic Financial Planner with his Partner and spouse Allyne Riley, Tim brings deep roots in integrating modernist Non-profit finances, and post-modern Human Development, to our foundation’s mission. Tim has lived in Northern CA most of his adult life and now commutes from Glenn Rose Texas. As a father, he intentionally raised his children in an outdoor oriented and libertarian lifestyle friendly to traditional and non-traditional learning and living. And, where his human development avocation could be a vocation.

Tim has been Treasurer of alternative education projects for over 20 years. As a young father, Tim served as a neighborhood homeshooling “principal” in charge of “compliance” and curriculum for local unschoolers, has been a credentialed teacher/advisor to high school and college age learners, and an Adjunct Professor of Finance at National University. Tim’s undergraduate degree program (B.S. Secondary Education and Inner City Sociology) was a 4-year experiment in an alternative “Wholistic” program that was co-created by the founding Students/Faculty. Tim then earned his full scholarship to seminary by creating a non-sectarian program combining “outward bound” with “guided self reflection” for at risk youth. whom he took on multi-week mountaineering adventures, culminating in climbing the peak of Mt. Shasta with students that our social welfare system doomed as incapable, and has been licensed and ordained in both traditional and in Post-Modern worldviews.

While completing Masters of Divinity, Tim served (“with pay, funded by a grant I sourced”) as Asst. V.P. for Student Affairs Administration of a private university with 1000+ students, designing “safety net” programs noted decades later in university publications for having empowered first year students to organize their own successful learner lifestyles.

With his MBA in Finance in 1991 in hand, Tim grew a start-up financial services company from 5 to 100 employees providing credit to entrepreneurs. Tim then advised corporate clients how to support a sustainable humane culture and implement Alternative Employee-Partner Benefits and Compensation strategies. Following ten years in Education and as a Chaplain, Tim’s professional practice for the last 30+ years has been as a Values Based Advisor to non-profit charities, businesses, and individuals. Tim’s talents include a remarkable blend of humanitarian service for youth and children as well as mindfully caring for the financial well-being of others. Tim has been recognized nationally at broker dealer Avantax Wealth Management as a Top 100 Financial Advisor over ten years in a row, with licenses in Investment Management (series 6, 7, 63, RIA), Real Estate, Accounting, Insurance, and Income Taxation (EA).

Asked why TLF, Tim replies, “I am in full retreat from the modern educational institutions that poison our culture. In resolving to combat ignorance and violence, Transformational ‘education’ came to me naturally, and, saved my life! “Now I’m a steward of this opportunity to be fully human fully alive. We are all agents of transformation, first for ourselves, then eachother, and I’m amazed at how many in our faculty are some of the greatest facilitators on our planet of this precious opportunity to be a Re-Agent of human consciousness!”

But for Tim, all roads converge back to finances being consciously deployed unleashing human potential! “Being human, showing up as an awake re-agent for another’s transformation is my greatest credential”
